Hosted Applications

Hosted Applications or Software as a Service (SAAS) began in 2001. It is a very cost effective and flexible way in which to deliver a particular application to your users. The core application would be installed onto servers within our Data Centre and then delivered to your users via a web interface using either traditional web technologies or Terminal Server.

Hosted Applications are particularly good if you wish to deliver a single application to multiple users and locations which are geographical spread. It is also very fast to deploy a central application as you simply install the package once and then make it available to your users.

Typically, Hosted Applications are central bespoke databases or packages, rather than email or office productivity packages such as Microsoft™ Word.
